 SUCCESS Center spices things up!

Recently the Linn-Mar SUCCESS Center spiced things up with their Annual Chili Cook-Off! Students from both the high school and the SUCCESS center formed teams and prepared a variety of chili recipes for the judging and tasting event. Members of the Cedar Rapids Rugby Team acted as judges, but found it difficult to pick a winner because everybody scored high with their tasty recipes!

Chili teams and recipes from the high school teams included: Chili Hot Hot Peppers' Taco Soup, Hot Chili Pot Boilmakers' Tailgate Chili made with venison, the Baconators' Bacon Chili with hot dogs, Fire Masters' spicy Kickin' Hot Spring Chili, Stir It Up's white Tasty Touchdown Chili, and Chili Madness' Pig Skin Chili made with pork.

Chili recipes from the SUCCESS Center included: Smoked Cheesy Chicken Chili and Sweet Dreamy Chili, which was a dessert chili.

Following the judging, the students served up their delicious creations for guests to enjoy. All of the students were rewarded with wonderful prizes from community sponsors for participating in this year's Chili Cook-Off!
